Dues...
A 6-month membership with Brass City Toastmasters is $32. Dues are deductible for federal income tax purposes as an educational expense.  There is an initial one-time $20 fee for books and Toastmasters Magazine subscription.

Meetings...
The Brass City Toastmasters Club meets the 2nd and 4th Monday of the month at 6:30pm at the Silas Bronson Library. Click the directions page on how to get to us and check our calender for updates on meeting times.

Our Meetings offer many opportunities to practice...
Learn in a supportive environment. We help and and support each other.
Every aspect of the meeting is geared toward training its members.
Each session features different exercises designed to help members gain confidence in their speaking and leadership skills.
Members take turns leading meetings, evaluating and timing speeches, and presenting impromptu topics for discussion.

Hone Public Speaking Skills...
Members progress through a series of speeches from the Communications and Leadership Manual, starting with a simple "Ice Breaker" speech. The manual outlines the objectives of each speech and provides tips on using vocal variety, body gestures, facial expressions and other techniques to improve the impact on the audience.

Learn How to Speak "Off the Cuff"....
The Table Topics section of the meeting is designed to teach members how to speak on their feet. This is the type of communication most often needed in business. Members take turns as the Table Topic Master poses subjects or questions ranging from current events to personal opinions. Participants are then called upon to give a brief response.

Polish your Leadership Skills....
Each member is eligible to become a club officer. Serving as an officer helps develop leadership skills so necessary for success in business, civic or religious organizations. Officers receive specific training and can advance to statewide and even International offices within Toastmasters Internation.
